# KIPP Through College: Scholar Spotlight Jayloni Fisher

This 'scholar spotlight' series will celebrate our KIPP SoCal alumni on their incredible journey to and through college.

 

**Jayloni Fisher**

Jayloni Fisher is a KAO alum and a current scholar at Geffen Academy, where he excels in his academics, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. He is part of student government, Stay Woke and is the president of the Black Student Union (BSU). This past December, he was nominated by his school to attend the Student Diversity Leadership Conference where he spent four days in Seattle, WA learning more about social justice, building community and how to grow as a leader. Jayloni is looking forward to bringing back everything he learned to his high school, community and to college where he hopes to attend an HBCU. Aside from his academics, Jayloni will surprise you with his talent in community theater and singing!
