What is AmazonSmile?

Amazon smile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your fave charitable org every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, amazon donates a portion of your eligible purchase price to your fave charitable organization. It's that simple.

Is Amazon Smile the same as shopping at Amazon.com?

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers.

How does AmazonSmile work?

When first visiting AmazonSmile, or smile.amazon.com, customers are prompted to select a charitable organization from over one million eligible organizations. We, of course, would love for you to select KIPP SoCal! In order to browse or shop at AmazonSmile, customers must first select a charitable organization. For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the customer’s selected charitable organization.

Is there any cost to charitable organizations or to customers?

No. There is no cost to charitable organizations or to AmazonSmile customers. The shopping experience is identical to Amazon.com with the added benefit that the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate to the charitable organizations selected by customers.

What do you do to make it happen?

1. Go to https://smile.amazon.com/gp/chpf/homepage?q=+26-1607268+&orig=%2F&ie=UTF-8 to select KIPP SoCal as your contributing Amazon Smiles organization.

2. Login to smile.amazon.com from your browser on your computer or mobile phone. You'll be brought to a website that looks the same as amazon.com, except the top bar denotes AmazonSmile:
